ARTWORK WITH SACCHAROMYCES CEREVISIAE:
Upon enrolling in the enology program at the Northwest Viticulture Center, I found myself in love with my microbiology class. In particular, I became fascinated with the primary yeast strain used in alcoholic fermentation - Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
In conducting research for a term paper, I found amazing photo images of the yeast strains taken by a scanning electron microscope. For fun, I did some graphic artwork using the Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast strain.
I thought these would make fun gifts for people who are interested in alcoholic fermentation - brewers and winemakers alike!
These graphic images are available for purchase. They are printed on gallery wrap canvas.
